Horrible company
Manager (Former Employee) - Los Angeles, CA - September 28, 2023
Upper management does not care about their employees. Commissions are changed often to make you not achieve extra money. Leaders don't know how to process a transaction

Not the best
Inbound sales representative (Former Employee) - Akron, OH - September 28, 2023
Not much to be said lots of micro management and aggregation not worth it. You have to meet quota no matter who or what and you can’t be independent or beat at your own drum: management only cares about numbers and to then you are one
Pros
Free lunches
Cons
Short breaks, favoritism

decent play, good benefits
Customer Service Representative (Current Employee) - Louisville, KY - September 28, 2023
Very good benefits, job should be 100% remote for everybody though. Having to drive to work everyday is a hassle with toll bridges based off where you live

Typical desk job
SMB Sales (Former Employee) - San Antonio, TX - September 28, 2023
It's as good as it gets. It's not meaningful work, and at the end of the day you're harassing business owners 5 days a week. There's also this degree of superficiality, if your entire identity is sales, and all you care about is harassing people (usually elderly) to make a quick buck then that's pathetic. But welcome to America, none of these corporations really matter.
Pros
Error 404
Cons
Everything

Metrics are sometimes impossible
Inbound Sales Representative (Former Employee) - El Paso, TX - September 27, 2023
Metrics are really difficult, some calls are impossible to make a profit and they push for sales even when you know its people who financially cant. Money is great but you have to have a tough gut.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company? Diverse and upscale. Professional dress code that still lets you be you. Love it What is a typical day like for you at the company? Busy most days. Energized environment

Ample Opportunity to Grow
Supervisor (Current Employee) - Anonymous - September 26, 2023
Spectrum has a very generous benefit package available to employees. Ample opportunity to grow within the business. Must be ready to pivot and pivot quickly, as policy and procedure change frequently. Corporate call center performance metrics seem out of touch to actually promote good customer service from agents on the front lines. Overall great company to be a part of.

This role will put your sanity to the test
Store Manager (Current Employee) - Garland, TX - September 26, 2023
I've been a store manager at various companies for almost two decades and this is by far THE worst. This company barely staffs its stores and yet has more/higher expectations than any other company I've worked for. Those expectations are usually unrealistic and contradicting, and the resources to do your job are either missing or broken. The upper management here ("Territory Manager" & "District Manager") usually do not know anything but micromanage everything and WILL hold you accountable (write up).
Pros
Free cable service, that's about it.
Cons
Too many to list

It is a young person’s job.
Customer Retention Representative (Former Employee) - Overland Park, KS - September 26, 2023
What is the best part of working at the company? The best part of working at spectrum was the wonderful people that I met during 12 weeks of training. I felt like we were family. The benefits offered are also a real plus. What is the most stressful part about working at the company? The most stressful part of working at spectrum was dealing with an outdated program if the current operating system was not working properly. Because of this, you often could not get the immediate help that you needed when talking to a customer on the phone and this caused a lot of stress. Because of many sleepless nights, I ended up leaving the company to maintain my mental health. What is the work environment and culture like at the company? Spectrum would often have a relaxed dress code which was very nice. Occasionally they would bring around free snacks and sometimes even have a free lunch available to the employees. What is a typical day like for you at the company? VERY STRESSFUL! You would get two 15 minute breaks, and if you had to go to the restroom, they considered that as part of your break. As far as incoming calls, you only had seconds between finishing one call and going on to the next, which did not give you enough time to complete processing the first call.

Rewarding if you are good at Door2Door sales
Residential Connectivity Specialist (Former Employee) - Tampa, FL - September 26, 2023
Management is very supportive and there is very good training. Your expected to work Monday-Friday for 6-8 hours in the afternoon-evening depending on your supervisor. Weekends were optional for me but needed if your sales are low. The hardest part was meeting your quotas every month. Your quota will get higher and higher after 6 months. Also be prepared to deal with a lot of angry customers at doors. Benefits are incredible but management does make you feel like you need work more and to not take your vacations if you’re not falling behind in your sales. If you are good at door2door sales you will succeed in this job. The commission structure is very high for this industry.
Pros
Good training, benefits, support and competitive pay
Cons
High expectations after 7 months, working in the elements and dealing with angry people at the door
