Not pleasant except for the staff.
Loss Prevention Supervisor (Former Employee) - Mobile, AL - August 26, 2023
What is the best part of working at the company? If you like to be micromanaged talked down to by the manager. Only a few of others are nice and professional with you. As for the job it is easy and your officers will be a joy to work with. That's is the only reason for the 2 Stars. What is the most stressful part about working at the company? The manager in the grander state of things only thinks of himself. What is the work environment and culture like at the company? Overall okay with the one exception . What is a typical day like for you at the company? All good when the manager is off or out of the office.

Awful.
Dishwasher (Former Employee) - Florence, AL - August 16, 2023
Awful, self absorbed people that barely give you the time of day; you're told not to talk about personal problems, but the managers will turn around and start telling you about their personal lives. Not to mention just how rude customers are there, I was shoved by one and told to just deal with it. They care about money more than the worker.

A very disappointing and unworthy place to spend ones time.
Restaurant Manager (Former Employee) - Birmingham, AL - July 22, 2023
What is the best part of working at the company? Not a very good company, not a team oriented environment. What is the most stressful part about working at the company? Leadership @Birmingham location is awful outside of the General Manager What is the work environment and culture like at the company? Isolation... uncaring leadership What is a typical day like for you at the company? Very boring, pretty much nothing is going on until weekend days

I would do it again, and recommend it to a friend!
Summer Intern (Former Employee) - Point Clear, AL - June 18, 2023
What is the best part of working at the company? The commitment of the people to the properties they care for! What is the most stressful part about working at the company? It's the personalities of the guests and staff, while balancing the experience of the occasion or event. What is the work environment and culture like at the company? Family, each property is so well run, when it's not, the problem is easy to find! What is a typical day like for you at the company? Smiling, organized, and energetic

Such a beautiful hotel wasting away
Supervisor (Former Employee) - Mobile, AL - June 7, 2023
In my life's history of employment, I would say that the BATTLEHOUSE is the worst. I was an employee and management did not support me, or anyone else for anything. There is so much chaos in the housekeeping department, like a bunch of children with no rules.

Beautiful property
FD agent (Former Employee) - Auburn, AL - March 28, 2023
Beautiful property but hard to move up. Very high turn over but that’s expected in the hospitality industry. Co-workers were really nice. GM is nice. Overall good company

Interesting place to work
Loss Prevention Officer (Former Employee) - Mobile, AL - March 18, 2023
The best thing about working for PCH Resorts is the hotel discount. As with most service industries, dealing with guests/customers is 90% of your work day.

It’s OK
Front Desk Agent (Former Employee) - Montgomery, AL - March 15, 2023
Ok place to work. Not much opportunity to grow. Pay is meh. When I finally moved up, I was stuck because I couldn’t grow without a degree. I feel like my experience should have compensated but hey. It’s ok

Fun to work with different departments to support customer experience. People I work with are fantastic and I feel very supported by my supervisor and manager.

overworked under appreciated toxic environment
Event Operations Manager (Former Employee) - Mobile, AL - October 5, 2022
What started out as a dream position, quickly changed. The toxicity is something that can't be hidden, not a place for solid good people as the leadership is jaded and crumbling from within. I personally pulled upwards of 16hr days, with no compensation or loyalty to my dedication. Extremely high turn over rate.

Don't Recommend
Spa Attendant (Former Employee) - Point Clear, AL - September 13, 2022
The pay is low for the amount of work you'll be required to do. Management doesn't do much unless we're slammed. Rarely ever get tips so your pay is your main source of income. Overall wouldn't recommend.
Pros
Mostly great coworkers, parking for employees, good lunch.
Cons
Short breaks, busy weekends, low pay, low satisfaction, barely any tips, lunch isn't free.

Ehhh so so
N/A (Former Employee) - Opelika, AL - August 10, 2022
The pay is okay, great people that work here but management sucks! Don’t care how hard they work certain people as long as it makes their job easy! Insurance is also a bit pricey!

Not a bad place to work. Management was ok
Banquet Captain (Former Employee) - Auburn, AL - July 22, 2022
Worked here full time and loved my coworkers and the job itself. Management was ok but at times out of touch with what the staff needs to succeed and seemed to be more interested in $$$. My direct supervisor and banquet director were amazing to work with and had my back. One thing I did really appreciate was the opportunities for advancement in other departments.

Great co workers
Shipping Coordinator (Former Employee) - Point Clear, AL - April 14, 2022
I developed many long lasting friendships with my peers. Everyone on a peer to peer level worked to help each other and discuss frustrations. Great friends
Pros
Decent benefits
Cons
Poor management

Treats you poorly, and tries to guilt you into taking it
Kitchen Steward (Current Employee) - Montgomery, AL - May 21, 2021
Honestly, before covid-19, working at pch hotels was acceptable. After quarantine ended last fall, they cut staff to a skeleton crew, limited hours, and took almost no real effort to avoid spreading covid in the restaurant. They kept all of their tables on the floor, give servers 4 tables or more at a time, and leave 1 dishwasher on some of their busiest nights. Most nights I am not allowed to take my 30 minute break and have to leave late
Pros
Good dental and vision plan
Cons
No union, management treats you poorly

Cons

Hotel cleaning
Housekeeper (Former Employee) - Opelika, AL - March 17, 2021
I really looked forward to working in such a beautiful resort. I felt very strongly that since I pay attention to detail I'd be appreciated and it would be a great fit for me. I was wrong. The only thing they want to hear is it's done with no care about how. The inspectors can't leave until they've been in each room so they rush you like crazy and don't bother to help. Speaking to management gets you nowhere but insulted.
Pros
Onsite food.
Cons
Unrealistic workload, bad management, favoriitism

The People who traveled through you got to meet was great. Managment only cared about themselves!
Bartender (Former Employee) - Montgomery, AL - October 6, 2020
Work-life balance Work-life balance at PCH Hotels and Resorts is sad Pay & benefits My pay and benefits at PCH Hotels and Resorts were ok. The match on the 501k is great. Job security and advancement In terms of job security at PCH Hotels and Resorts, I think not realistic Management In general, managers at PCH Hotels and Resorts out for themselves Culture Collaboration with my colleagues at PCH Hotels and Resorts is an easy thing to accomplish
