Still an old and sexist boys club
Business Manager (Former Employee) – Southampton, Hampshire – December 9, 2018
In theory, judging by the corporate literature and management speak, this company should be great and forward thinking. In reality, no. if you are female or from a minority or non-UK background you have the least prospects unless you have a rare and enlightened line manager. Very much an old fashioned upstairs downstairs culture with management favouring white, male engineering and technical graduates who can usually get away with anything even subpar work, bad attitudes and sexist behaviour. CEO is an accountant and not a SME so unusual and worrying.
Flexible working, free lunch, social events
Poor and disconnected senior management, sexism, progress depends on who, not what you know
