What is the best part of working at the company? None this a boutique hotel hotel always understaffed , wouldn’t recommend to anyone. What is the most stressful part about working at the company? Running all over the place for the money they compensate they have huge exceptions. What is the work environment and culture like at the company? Hostile like an army in total disarray What is a typical day like for you at the company? Busy really busy you get slammed

Money is the goal only
Night Auditor (Former Employee) - Orlando, FL - September 2, 2023
Your coworkers are very nice but all management wants if for the hotel to have a perfect sell even if it means overselling by 13 rooms or even more and it’s your job to handle it at the end of the day rather than management fix it while they’re there.

Let Down
Assistant General Manager (Former Employee) - Kansas City, MO - August 19, 2023
They say all the right things, and do all the wrong things. Ask them how many GMs they have gone through in the last 3 years. I loved the people in the hotel, but upper management not on property is a huge disappointment.

My chief engineer makes the job exciting
Engineer (Current Employee) - Tampa Bay area - June 5, 2023
My chief engineer is a good manager. Downside is the GM constantly tells engineering and housekeepers we will be getting raises since our hotel had it's best numbers ever last quarter. Still no raise for anyone 3 months later. I have found they would rather fire or let go of the employees who actually work hard, to hire new people so they can save a dollar. Great company to work for, just wish they would take care of the working people more. Great company, bad management.
Pros
Nice discount for rooms, free lunch once every couple months
Cons
Healthcare, pay, maybe show more appreciation to the employees

Ghosted
Candidate (Former Employee) - Harrisburg, PA - April 13, 2023
Sat in the lobby for probably 30 minutes before anyone asked what I needed. (You need a key fob to get in, so I couldn't even inquire.) After I interviewed I was told I was a frontrunner. Then they completely ghosted me. Later I found out that it was because the person hiring wanted someone they could make do 60+ hours a week on salary. That just tells me they don't have enough employees in the first place. Glad I found something else.
Cons
Overworking employees

Active & Rewarding
Chief Engineer (Former Employee) - Philadelphia, PA - January 11, 2023
Good company to work for. Upper management did not hesitate to spend if a major repair was needed. Fast paced hotel environment so you must always be on your toes.

No healthy job life
Front Desk Agent (Former Employee) - New York, NY - October 25, 2022
This job is terrible. The room service and maintenance workers don’t speak English, that enough alone wanted to quit. Overall don’t do you will absolutely regret it.
Pros
Nothing good about this job.
Cons
No breaks, bad schedules, everything is toxic.

Growing Company
Manager (Former Employee) - Florida - October 18, 2022
A company that is still learning its way. Needs more education for managerial staff and regular meetings with employees. Build culture by education. Always puts guest first and does right by them.

Low pay for dumb work
Staff Accountant (Current Employee) - Harrisburg, PA - August 23, 2022
The excessive work done feels useless primarily due to laggy and outdated software. Lack of automation. Lack of pto and useful benefits. Discount on hotels is just about pointless when you have to beg for time off.

Unbelievably Toxic Work environment
Area Assistant General Manager (Former Employee) - New York, NY - July 29, 2022
HHM is the worst company to work for. Ask around the industry. Best career move was leaving. If you get a call from them run as fast as you can in the other direction.
Pros
Nothing
Cons
Inconsistent work schedule.

Avoid this company ast all costs
Front Desk Manager (Former Employee) - Selinsgrove, PA - July 23, 2022
Please think twice before even interviewing with them. They will burn you out then hang you to dry. Management is awful, the pay is horrible, hardly no benefits at all, and undermining your ability to grow and succeed.

Fun depending on location and coworkers. Upper Management has no connection.
Bartender (Former Employee) - Massachusetts - July 22, 2022
I worked on a beach so that was amazing in the summer. You would make pretty good tips but it was a lot of work. In the industry we call it "blood money" because its like you work until you bleed, literally from blisters and cuts from doing so much so quickly. Company seems to only reward those in upper management and little was done to help us in the restaurant FOH and BOH.

Hard to get fired
General Manager (Former Employee) - Renton, WA - June 2, 2022
I have been around for years. We get hardly any raises, they barely pay the bills so the property is always getting cut off from vendors. It used to be great but new management and over buying/ managing too many properties is affecting the lower level employees and gms.

Mmm… more cons than pros
Operations Manager (Current Employee) - New York, NY - May 31, 2022
Don’t get me wrong, it is a good company to start and build a career, but the bureaucracy can be annoying sometimes. Terrible compensation and work life balance. Never got a “good morning” from owners, corporate managers etc.
Pros
Career path
Cons
Bad compensation
