Overall experience was very stressful and manipulative.
General Manager (Former Employee) - Dothan, AL - September 19, 2023
What is the best part of working at the company? The best part about working for this company are the guests that come in, they are very understanding considering the hotel is extremely outdated. What is the most stressful part about working at the company? The most stressful part of this job is getting the owner to put time and money into it. What is the work environment and culture like at the company? This company has a very sneaky and conniving environment, they come and sneak and watch but never teach. They only come to amplify the wrong and never give compliments where they are due. What is a typical day like for you at the company? A typical is is good there is so much to improve about this mold infested hotel.

I loved having all female Management
Housekeeper (Former Employee) - Bangor, ME - April 27, 2023
Great place to work where I felt cared about and valued as an individual as well as an employee. I had the best bosses ever. Even the GM would hop in and help us (in dress clothes and heels) if shorthanded or having a really late day. Teamwork is a big deal and we all pitched in.
Pros
Free lunches often, free breakfast daily, free coffee, tips, opportunity to cross train as well as pick up shifts with our sister companies, tips, discount at other properties, few room in bad weather
Cons
Never know exactly when you'll be done for the day, weekends are mandatory however able to make requests for time off, having to help the rest of the crew when finished

Housekeeper (Former Employee) - Middleboro, MA - August 11, 2022
I loved my job working for the Fairfield inn, I got to know some really great people who were also empoyees and everyone worked as a team as much as we possibly could.
Pros
There was always something to do, good people to work for. Usually all the time if someone was almost done and you wasn’t, they would ask if you wanted help
Cons
During slow season hours could go form 50 to 25, During busy hours sometimes were there till 7 pm which I didn’t care, Sometimes wouldn’t take break because we were so busy and just wanted to get out of there, sometimes short staffed.

Es importante llegar a tiempo para tomar y equipar su carro de trabajo de lo contrario te dificultará el trabajo

Siempre hay trabajo
Cons
No haces tus horas siempre todo depende a como esté el trabajo

Stressful and full of drama
Housekeeper (Former Employee) - Durango, CO - July 8, 2022
This was honestly one of the most disappointing places I have ever worked. The communication between staff is nonexistent and the two housekeeping supervisors are very unprofessional and do not care about their workers as they should. If there were any issues brought up to management they were basically ignored in the hopes that they would eventually be forgotten. The level of drama and constant gossiping really makes this workplace stressful. Hopefully things will get better for future employees there.
Pros
We are allowed to eat breakfast before starting if we like
Cons
Rushed out so it is very hard to accumulate hours

Franchised is the worst.
Front Desk Clerk (Former Employee) - Orangeburg, SC - July 8, 2022
Pay is horrible and you cant climb the ladder. Hard workers get more duties and less pay. Only benefits is the employee discount. Management is terrible.

We called it the UNFAIRfield
Front Office Supervisor (Former Employee) - Racine, WI - June 28, 2022
Employees constantly in and out. New managers every 6 months who have NO idea what they’re doing. It’s a free for all for lazy employees that slack off, and the good workers leave because they’re not appreciated. I’m surprised this place is still running. You don’t get the training you need, they put you everywhere because they’re so short staffed, and beg you to come in and cover every other position not caring what your situation at home is. The managers never want to work and push everything off on new employees who are barely trained, that’s why they all quit and leave! It’s not Marriott, it’s Aimbridge the company that manages that hotel. That hotel hasn’t run smoothly since it was operated by TMI Hospitality back in 2019.

There is alot of partiality shown in this workplace.
Auditor/Housekeeper/Front desk/Breakfast attendant (Current Employee) - Columbia, SC - April 7, 2022
I am treated very badly at work. I go above and beyond for guest but it is not appreciated by management. I make decisions based on experience, know how and company policy, but it's darn if you do, darn if you don't.
Pros
A pay check
Cons
No breaks and no thank yous

Family orientated type of work environment
Front Desk Agent (Current Employee) - Tewksbury, MA - September 20, 2021
This hotel has a lot for you to learn. The training is not fully organized for you to comprehend it. The trainers move a little too fast for you to grasp things a first or second, maybe a third time around.
Pros
cheap hotel rates
Cons
short staffed, long hours, multi-job trained
