Understaffed workplace

Management does not lend a helping hand when asked for help, work load is to much for the small staff they give you, I am an maintenance manager and I pull as many work orders as my techs plus I have to still find time to manage the place. There is no porter so we have to spend 2 hours each morning picking up the grounds which takes time away from what we need to get done during the day.

Unbearable work load, vacation is hard to accumulate, management doesn't seem to seek the benefit of their employees

Unorganized, but balanced work/life

Unorganized, hopping from project to project, but no overtime and no working weekends, which is what kept me to stay. I can actually plan for the weekends and I had set hours.

Demanding with outdated processes

It’s clicky!

If you are liked by upper management then you will do well. If they don’t like wor you are invisible to them then I would start looking for a new job. It’s the culture unfortunately.

Pros

Can get 100% rent discount if you live onsite, for some of the communities, But they will tell you it’s not true, but it is.

Cons

If they don’t like you you will not advance.

I been in this company for 6 years and have grown in my career I started a a maintenance tech and work my way up in 1 year to a maintenance supervisor

The is the most amazing company I have ever worked for, I regret leaving. A company with transparency and integrity. You spend a week at their corporate training facility and come back with knowledge of leadership skills.

Fun, but lower end of pay

Company rewards employees most times, lower pay than some companies, nice pto and other benefits, management is friendly and you can move up quickly.

Fairfield Residential have an amazing uper mangment team.The staff at my location is awsome too and its like family. If you put the work in then they back you up.

What is the best part of working at the company?The coworkers around really made me feel like a family and a team.What is the most stressful part about working at the company?The Lack of help considering the amount of units we had and it was townhomes that were only three and four bedrooms and it was only left up to me and one other guy to maintain it.What is the work environment and culture like at the company?It was pretty stress free until the end of the year and it seem like people in the office didn’t have it together and things fell apart.What is a typical day like for you at the company?Well that’s a lot to explain because it depends on what property you’re at because some properties it’s balls to the wall some properties it’s kind of calm some properties it’s medium and some properties you have people honking and beep in stop in just parking the cars in front of you hey I need this done I mean I’ve been to a lot of properties and it’s just different all around so you have to learn how to deal with those situations so it’s different on every property see you have to adapt some people can some people can’t.

Productive and great work environment

I really enjoyed working for Fairfield. They really take care of their associates. I believe I would still work there if there were better hours. I was limited to weekends which restricted me from attending child’s activities.

Working there wasnt right decision

Very stressful environment to work at , starting at 4 am , unrealistic amount of wire transfer to be done in a very limited time frame , no co operation between departments to help the daily situations

Okay experience

Good bonus structure, but very little support from upper management. Will leave you high and dry and will hardly prepare you for your job. High turnover unless you’re in their clique.

Nice place to work

nice place to work, good team. would definitely consider the worst part the weekends and time off but is still very rewarding to work for this company.

Moral is not a priority

They reward incompetence and work on a buddy system. Not what you know but who. Will take a beautiful property and run it to the ground. Way out of their league when dealing with luxury. Manage a their properties on a discount. Cheapest everything but will waste funds on something not even needed or ever used. No money for paint? Let's buy a $2000 grout cleaner that has yet to be used. Upper management is fake and doesn't listen to issues but ignores them or puts a bandaid on it. Until it falls apart and then they have amnesia all of a sudden. They don't follow their own policies in place...

Fun - especially on a lease up

Fairfield offers a very supportive environment with targeted training. It is fast paced, but realistic expectations. My community sold or I would still be there.

Great colleagues and great culture in our office

Our on site team has great chemistry and support for each of the members on our team. I worked weekends, not ideal, but not the worst. I had a good work/life balance, and my assistant manager and property manager were the best.

Definitely a great learning experience.

Good company I don’t have anything to criticize at the moment. For the most part it was a good learning experience from entry level to management. Fairfield Residential (the apartment management company not hotel)

I love this company. Training is the best. Advancement is always available. The culture is second to none. Leadership treats you like family. They care about doing things the right way.

Organized and forward thinking

I found the executives of Fairfield to be genuine and promoted a culture that brought out the best of my skill set. The construction and development team is second to none. I felt respected and appreciated.
