Fast pace but overall not bad
Cashier/Customer Service (Current Employee) - Monterey Park, CA - November 3, 2022
A lot of thinking on your feet when you start the job. The tasks are simple but often times can be messy. Coworkers and managers get along. Overall not a bad job. Management seems to be improving.
Pros
Employee discount, free coffees
Cons
Short staffed

Workplace that keeps you busy
Popeyes (Former Employee) - Durham, NC - October 31, 2022
Fast food isn’t for everyone like I don’t like the smell all the time and it can get really messy and dirty fast. And also when it’s busy like the drive through you have to work at a fast past so if you aren’t a fast work or fast learner it’s best that you don’t work the kitchen.
Pros
Free lunch
Cons
Fast food stinks

Fun work place
Trainee (Former Employee) - North West - October 30, 2022
Being a cashier is not that hard it's a great job and it enambles you to meet different characters of people and how they behave. And it helps you to know how weak you or strong you can handle a difficult customer at some point.
Pros
No free lunches
Cons
Long hours

Not being organized needs cleaning done
Cashier/Customer Service (Former Employee) - Yuba City, CA - October 22, 2022
It's always busy getting new products I enjoy my customers and some coworkers. Very fast pace four hour shifts but not enough hours or help. Definitely needs more communication and cleaning. I think they need updated registers. And ATM machines. Lots of cleaning on the counters.

Customer Service Associate (Current Employee) - Granville, Vancouver - June 2, 2022
This is an excellent place to start and work as a student and part-time job working there are lots of opportunities to work. they train you great and you learn a lot of information but the training is a bit different than the real job and also sometimes the managers care more to old employees
Pros
flexible time
Cons
not good for long term working

Toxic
Cashier/Customer Service (Former Employee) - Manassas, VA - April 12, 2022
This place is so toxic stay away from!!! The owners could care less about what you need as a employee. They love to promote family members or favorite employees. Everything about this place is just toxic people quit all the time

The managers are the problem
Shoprite Cashier (Former Employee) - West Orange, NJ - November 5, 2021
The manager overall will not support you. They are never present at the job but imagine not getting a schedule from these people and no time for them to fire off the spot? They’re ridiculous. I think they should be the ones held responsible because they only think of themselves. DO NOT WORK here overall.
Pros
The stocks
Cons
The manager.

Not a long term source of income
Cashier (Former Employee) - 1000 keller parkway - August 29, 2021
this company is great if you're still in school, but that about it. If you are trying to support yourself in any capacity afterwards, get a better job and with a place that offeres better benifits.
Pros
great people
Cons
stagnation

Fun cause you meet greet people
Cashier (Current Employee) - JFK airport - July 14, 2021
I meet nice people that are flying some of the coworkers are friendly. Breaks are short. Managers are rude when you want to call out. When you ask a manger question about anything they are lost. They don’t trained cashiers the correct way

Annoyed
Sheetz (Former Employee) - Punxsutawney, PA - June 20, 2021
They don’t care about the customers or employees. They don’t train they just throw you out there to figure it out for yourself. It’s not well managed at all.
