Medical Laboratory Supervisor

Job Summary

Al-Noor Diagnostic ME is seeking a highly detailed and qualified Medical Laboratory Supervisor to oversee clinical laboratory operations, quality control protocols, diagnostic testing workflows, and laboratory staff management. Reporting directly to the Laboratory Director, you will maintain high standards of accuracy in diagnostic results, ensure strict adherence to local healthcare regulations (DHA/MOHAP/HAAD) and international accreditation bodies (CAP, ISO 15189), and lead a team of medical laboratory technologists to deliver exceptional patient care services.

Key Responsibilities

• Laboratory Operations & Workflow Oversight: Manage day-to-day operations across diagnostic departments including Hematology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Serology, and Pathology.
• Quality Assurance & Regulatory Compliance: Enforce rigorous Quality Control (QC) and Quality Assurance (QA) programs, ensuring full compliance with DHA/MOHAP, ISO 15189, and CAP accreditation standards.
• Team Leadership & Staff Management: Supervise, train, and evaluate medical technologists and lab technicians; establish shift rosters, assess technical competencies, and conduct regular safety training.
• Equipment Calibration & Maintenance: Oversee the calibration, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and validation of automated diagnostic analyzers and laboratory instrumentation.
• Data Management & LIS Administration: Audit test result verification procedures within the Laboratory Information System (LIS), ensuring precise reporting, fast turnaround times (TAT), and critical result notifications.
• Biosafety & Chemical Control: Direct infection control protocols, hazardous waste management, PPE compliance, and chemical safety standards across all laboratory facilities.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Experience: 5+ years of clinical laboratory experience, with at least 2+ years in a supervisory or senior medical technologist role within an accredited diagnostic center or hospital laboratory in the GCC.
• Licensing: Valid Dubai Health Authority (DHA) License or eligibility/evaluation letter as a Medical Laboratory Technologist / Supervisor (or equivalent MOH/DOH license).
• Technical Mastery: In-depth knowledge of laboratory automated systems, LIS platforms, internal quality control (IQC), and external quality assessment (EQA) schemes.
• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Medical Laboratory Science, Biomedical Science, Clinical Chemistry, or a related healthcare field.
• Languages: Professional fluency in English; working proficiency in Arabic is a strong advantage.
