QHSE Energy Oman is seeking a dedicated HSE Safety Supervisor to oversee Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) compliance across our energy, oil & gas, and industrial project sites. Reporting directly to the HSE Manager, you will implement site-specific safety plans, conduct hazard assessments, enforce risk mitigation protocols, lead incident investigations, and ensure continuous adherence to Omani labor laws, Ministry of Energy guidelines, and international safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

Site Inspections & Enforcement: Conduct daily site safety walk-throughs, audits, and inspections to identify hazardous conditions, unsafe practices, and regulatory non-compliance.
Permit to Work (PTW) Management: Enforce strict adherence to the Permit to Work system, Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) protocols, confined space entry procedures, and hot work safety guidelines.
Incident Investigation & Reporting: Lead initial investigations for near-misses, injuries, and environmental spills using Root Cause Analysis (RCA) techniques, implementing corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
Toolbox Talks & Training: Deliver daily toolbox talks, site safety inductions, and specialized HSE awareness sessions for site technicians, contractors, and field personnel.
Emergency Response Readiness: Maintain and test site emergency response plans, fire safety equipment, first aid readiness, and conduct periodic emergency evacuation drills.
HSE Data & Documentation: Maintain detailed HSE records, log daily safety metrics, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and prepare weekly and monthly safety reports for project stakeholders.

Qualifications & Requirements

Experience: 4+ years of field safety experience within the oil & gas, energy, petrochemical, or heavy industrial sectors in Oman or the GCC region.
Certifications (Required): NEBOSH International General Certificate (IGC) required. IOSH Managing Safely, OSHA certification, or ISO 45001 / ISO 14001 internal auditor certifications are highly preferred.
Regulatory Knowledge: Solid understanding of Oman Ministry of Energy & Minerals HSE regulations, OPAL (Oman Society for Petroleum Services) standards, and Omani Labor Law safety mandates.
Skills: Strong leadership, site hazard identification, crisis response management, and technical safety reporting.
Education: Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Health, Safety & Environment, Fire Safety, Environmental Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
Languages: Professional working proficiency in English and Arabic.
